CERTIFIED CRADLE-TO-CRADLE MATERIAL HEALTH ASSESSOR

ARCHE (Assessing Risks of CHEmicals) is a private SME based in Flanders/Belgium and has offices in Ghent and Leuven. ARCHE has been founded by key experts holding an unique track record (20 years) in the field of environmental toxicology, exposure modelling and the preparation of European risk and impact assessment dossiers in general. The experts working at ARCHE have built up in-depth knowledge on health and safety issues. They have been assessing hazard and risks of chemicals in the framework of the REACH, CLP and biocidal regulation. ARCHE has been involved in the preparation of REACH registration dossiers for >75 metals, metal compounds and complex metal mixtures, >50 inorganic substances and >40 organic substances.

ARCHE ‘s main expertise till today is mainly focused on risk assessment of inorganics (in particular metals, metal compounds, alloys). Moreover, since several years, ARCHE has built up frontier expertise and experience on health and safety of complex secondary inorganic materials (e.g. waste streams, inorganic recycling intermediate streams, ores and concentrates) such as dealing with variable and sometimes unknown composition, addressing release from (waste) materials to environment, etc…

Finally, increasing sustainability and resource efficiency trends require consideration of life-cycle analysis based indicators to include assessments of water use, energy consumption, carbon footprint and others into more integrative environmental impact assessments. ARCHE is a certified cradle-to-cradle material health assessor.

Welcome to EURELCO

EURELCO is an open, quadruple helix network that supports the required technological, legal, social, economic, environmental and organisational innovation with respect to the development and implementation of a Dynamic Landfill Management (DLM) framework. The DLM framework includes resource recovery-driven Enhanced Landfill Mining (ELFM) as one of its most advanced components, thereby supporting the transition to a resource efficient, circular, low-carbon economy. Are you a relevant actor working on DLM or ELFM?
